If you’re in creative writing class and the instructor assigns you a ten page paper on what you did last summer but you turn in a five page paper on how you’re going to take the next SpaceX rocket to the moon, what grade should she give you?

That creativity only covers up ignorance and incompetence for so long (outside of politics).

Too many of these strips strike me as relying on a negative Jewish stereotype of being whiners who demand things be given to them.

If you want your kid to think outside of the box, a public school is the last place you want to send him.

So your thought is the heck with the rubric, I’ll do whatever I want? And he did not exceed expectations, he disregarded the requirements and fell short. Her ego seems to be more damaged than anything. I don’t see any evidence of the kid being hurt, only her. Boo hoo.

I think she should home school him so he can get the ’A’s she thinks he deserves. Then he can live in their basement if he can’t find a job that suits HER.

I learned that in kindergarten.

I feel Abby’s managed to teach Colin that it’s the grade that matters, whatever her intention.

Abby is really upset because it was she is the one that actually did the work and feels she is the one that got the lower grade.

The sooner the better….life is not fair. Learn it early.

The sooner the better. The majority of us have o follow rules whether we like it or not. She’s upset because she helped him, and by not following the rules, he got just a C. Whereas when he followed the rules, and did it on his own, he got an A.
