I wonder if the teacher considered the cost to the parents and how they would react to being roped into this assignment.

And what if the families don’t pledge? Seems the parents are being armtwisted a bit here.

Caution- Unfair snark alert: I assume the school staff carpools six or seven to a small EV? Making multiple trips, negating the wasteful need for more than a two vehicles. And three students should share a Tablet.

Why, in my day… ! (No matter when that was.)

In fairness, that is a fair bit of money a lot of families would need to spend.

Further, research has pointed out it’s not just the individual citizens that would need to “go green” to reduce to carbon footprint, but also all of the companies and industries, as it’s the latter that’s actually contributing the most to the carbon footprint, statistically speaking.

(And arguably, if the companies go green, their customers would as well, due to all the products they’re buying from them needing to go green as well).

Just plant more trees, bushes, grass, any kind of plant. That alone will remove CO2.

Try to combine grocery shopping, book store, picking up kids, whatever… Just a little planning can save time AND money (gas).

All the while producing less CO2.

Just have Carly walk to school, practice and playdates. That should do it.

Blocked off the opening from the plumbing wall in the attic. Cost – some recycled foam boards from packaging and a tube of caulk. Savings – 500 galleons of oil a year. A lot of money stayed in my pocket.
