    I purchase snow shovels and rock salts as a talismans against snow. Usually, it snows when one is least prepared.

    When I lived in Iowa, I strapped a snow shovel to the hood of my car, and started driving South. When folks started asking me what that funny object at the front of my car was, I knew I had found my new home. Texas.
