Of course, once the eggs hatch, the mom dies… so kind of a moot point, really.

I’d say “Yippee, calamari”, but it’s the wrong species.

I always thought octopus was 8 cats.

Since someone pointed out that the mother octopus dies after the eggs hatch, I remember learning that the same thing happens when squids lay their eggs, where they die before the eggs hatch.

That explains the 2-for-1 pack of octopus eggs at the grocery store.

Octopi are Republican.
