My first girl kitty, Freya, was batting raindrops on my window, and playing with the maintenance guy who ran his fingers on the window to play with her. Then the rain turned to snow. She batted the flakes and mewed at them for changing on her.
We got snow last night and into this morning. I stepped outside for a minute with the boys standing inside the screen door. When a gust of wind hit, they beat paws to get away from the evil cold wind and blowing snow. Blackjack has parked himself under the quilt.
I was out walking with my cat in a very light rain. We were about 100 yards from the house when my cat took off at high speed back home. I slowly followed her and ten seconds later was pelted by the heaviest hailstorm I have ever experienced.
The next time she takes off like that, I’ll be right behind her – no questions asked.

The snow isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, Mittens.
