Even though it was Paul’s fault, I feel for him here. Getting laughed at in this sort of situation can be quite stressful and blush-inducing. That said, I’m the kind of guy who laughs things off anyway, and I wouldn’t be terribly worried for my own dignity. After all, what is the strife for perfection without making a few mistakes, eh?

Jill that was pretty unkind. How would you feel if the situation were reversed and you had to walk to a gas station with a gas can and a complaining Buckles and Paul laughed?

Ouch, indeed.

And for those folks born after the turn of the century, that funny looking half booth next to Paul is a pay phone.

My wife would view the same situation with merriment because I’m normally quite diligent about making sure her car and my little pickup have gasoline.

And why, exactly did you call her?

I guess while Jill was laughing, she was telling Paul that it served him right for not letting her come along.

Because Jill drove it last!

@Joseph comicinthestrip- Even though it happens all the time, I don’t understand how ANYONE could let their car run out of gas!! Unless Paul’s a new driver which I doubt!

That doesn’t settle well with me either
