Out here in Colorado it’s the snow snakes and blizzard lizards that one has to look out for. The lizards will nip off the tip of your skis, you fall and then the snow snakes attack! Terrible sight to behold.

Is a snow weasel just a cold-weather version of a water weasel?

The suspense is killin’ me.

They seem to be standing in one place for a long time. Wouldn’t that make them more vulnerable to attack by snow weasels.

How tough are their necks?

Sounds like a guy who “shoveled” his own foot and blamed it on an innocent snow weasel. :)

The snow weasels aren’t the only ones with thick skulls, er tough noggins, around there it seems.

Every once in a while, a ‘possum (that’s what we call them in Texas) will get in the yard and I’ll scoop it up with a shovel and catapult it into the woods.
