In the past people have mentioned Bakewell tarts in reference to this strip. As I have said before, I have visited the town of Bakewell in Derbyshire. Bakewell was shown on a TV weather map today. Here in Britain, we are having very bad snow in north Wales and in the Pennines in northern England. I live in Chester which is between these two areas. Bakewell and Buxton were among the towns in the Pennines shown on the weather map warning.
We took a trip to France and the ferry over to the UK last year. Driving on the left side of the road wasn’t too bad, but 50 or 60 mph speed limits on small basically one lane farm roads meant I never had the inclination to speed that often.
It’s fun seeing all the break lights come on when people see a cop sitting by the median while traveling on the e-way. Like he doesn’t know what the are doing. I just take my foot off of the gas!!!

We ALL drive within the speed limit when a police car is behind, or beside us or in front of us or anywhere near us.

What’s bad is if your turn signal is out and you aren’t sure if it is OK to turn or should you just keep going straight?

My wife calls me the turtle because I stay under the maximum speed limit. I don’t have any traffic tickets!

This police car seems to run very close to Mr. Dear’s car. No wonder he feels not comfortable.

I would just pull over and let them pass. Then it becomes someone else’s problem…….

I’ve always driven at the speed limit, even as a youngster. But I can understand Mr. Dear’s motivation!
