We had a break room where there was coffee available and payment was on the honour system. Of course there was one chap (and we knew who it was) who would not only take the $$ from the can, but also the coffee pods home.
A company I once worked for put in a new water cooler, and after a short time we had a situation similar to this — no fish, but something green (algae?) was growing in there. It had a strange design — even though there was a big water bottle on top, like in this picture, the water came in from a direct plumbing connection. So the bottle was never removed, and nobody really understood why it was there. But at least when it started turning green, management got rid of it.

In the States they stopped calling it ‘management’. Now it’s called ‘Leadership’.

Regular water has no nutrients. Count yourself lucky, you have good management.

Better check to see if the canary isn’t lying in the bottom of its cage.
