Of course he’s called “sir”; you can’t call him “ma’am.”

Now that really dates the comic. Indian head pennies went out in 1909 and were more or less out of curculation by 1930. Unless he has an Eagle which was a $10 gold coin minted up to 1933.

I had an ancestor turned into an angel by Indians, too. He survived the Jamestown massacre but was later selling them stuff off his boat, and he mistakenly let too many of them get on board. He won’t make that mistake again.

Wow, that’s dark humor.

So is that why that Indian made it to the coin? Jeff and his inept ancestors.
