“Waka waka” sounds like Fuzzie Bear.

Sticky side down. Also a metaphor for life.

Well, Chesney, did you learn anything about how wrong it is to make fun of others? Probably not. Bandages (are you using Bandaids?) work by tearing off the paper, then pulling off the little tabs, exposing the sterile pad and the 2 sticky ends. Put the pad part over your owie (or booboo) and then use the sticky ends to hold it onto your skin (or, in your case, fur). When your owie heals, you can take off the Bandaid. It’s gonna pull on your fur so it may hurt a bit! And remember, in the future, you should never make fun of sharp beaked Waka Waka birds!

    Today is:

    NATIONAL BLUEBERRY PANCAKE DAY

NATIONAL GIFT OF THE LADYBUG DAY. I love lady bugs! They are always welcome in my garden. But lady beetles, the ones that look like lady bugs, but they bite, I don’t like them so much. Ouch!

    DATA PRIVACY DAY

NATIONAL KAZOO DAY. I have a kazoo somewhere around the house. But I will save everyone the agony of hearing me play it.

From yesterday’s comments to Egrayjames who said, “Dad was a Rambler dealer, so we all kind of owned one some time or other. My brother had a nice little American, late 60’s and it was stolen in RI during the daytime.”

My dad always drove clunkers. Always Chevy’s. He didn’t think anyone would ever steal a clunker. But one night my brother, Joe, took our dad’s car to some high school sporting event (I don’t remember what it was). The high school was about 2 miles from our house. When the event was over, Joe went out to the car, but the car wasn’t there. Someone had stolen it. When Joe got home and told our dad the car was stolen, our dad called the police. The police knew exactly where to look. He went to the home of what we now call “our local car thief” and there was our car. We still laugh about it to this day and that was about 50 years ago.

Those of us who are birders, aka twitchers in the UK, would love to add this beautiful and rare/extinct bird to our sighting list! Chez needs to report it to Audubon, he will become a hero!

If you are a Kliban’s Cats fan, you will also know that waka-waka is a rare sound made by his qats.

Is this the source of the “waka waka” listed as cat speak in Kliban’s Cats?

I’m impressed that Chesney took time to report on this species.

    He’s up to something!

The Waka Waka does NOT sound like a bird you’d want to mess with! Still, I wonder how well it would fare against Lily. On another note, saw a raven, a junco, a sparrow, and five varied thrushes while out walking today.
