I completely lost interest in football in a high school gym class when caught a football and was immediately tackled by about half a ton of dumb jocks,
I never had any real knack for football, American style, that is. Though I had the size, I didn’t have the skill. I played on the line against a much smaller guy. He decked me so easily. He knew what he was doing. Now, soccer, or the other version of football, that was a different matter. I played right back and left wing and midfield. And, I was pretty good.
A great reminder of the Revenge Of The Nerds film series in that, whereas many wanted justice for the nerds at the onset, by the end of the series, they were rooting for the jocks.
I was the lightest guy on the team, so, naturally, coach put me in as a tackle. After the cleat marks on my back started becoming permanent, I decided I didn’t need that coach or that sport.

A one way street of use and abuse is a vocation, not a earning markets position for Arbuckle to-tackle.

Wow, no wonder Jon is such a scatterbrained loser, too much tackle dummy practice.
