It never “adds” up when report cards are issued.

I could easily explain why I got D’s in algebra. I hated it, didn’t understand it and wished I didn’t have to take it.

My Geometry teacher was one of the authors of our geometry book, but her explanations in the classroom were still as clear as mud.

When “Math” branches into “Algebra,” it does.

Maybe he’s not ready for that level in math and should go back to the next level lower.

D=Dense +

Parent: “You got an F in English, an F in Math, an F in History, and a D in Science. How do you explain this report card?”

Child: “I obviously spent too much time on one subject.”

He’ll probably need "sum"mer school.

When I took calculus, I found out calculus wasn’t the hard part. Algebra was. You needed calculus to set up the problem and algebra to actually solve the problem.
