I almost never wake up hungry. Sometimes it’s two or three hours before I fix my breakfast. But Rover doesn’t have to shave, wash and get dressed, and read the comics before knowing that he’s hungry.

Rugby world get up and walk over to me and just give me the most intense stare. If I started laughing, he get upset and shake his head. “No, no, no this is important “. Trust me, he totally had US trained. Priceless

I am awakened at Zero Dog Thirty[4a.m.] with the reminder that Dog O’clock is in half an hour after the morning leg lift and squat 0430. Dog O’clock returns exactly 12 hours later [ 1630]. I learned a great deal in obedience school.

You know how some of us set our clocks 5 mins ahead, to fool ourselves into thinking it’s later than it is?

My dog is like that, only he sets his stomach 45 mins ahead. Dinner is and has always been at 5:00, but by golly is tummy alarm starts ringing at 4:15. Good thing I’m not afraid to ask him to use the snooze button.

Rover has a bigger vocabulary than Snoopy, who thought, “My stomach clock just went off.”
