You can lose eveything in a “bear” market. In 1929, there was no “surviving”; assets were permanently gone, for all practical purposes.

It was once stated that WTQR and cockroaches would survive the end of the world. Some years ago, The Wolf beat WTQR and I don’t think WTQR has even beat The Wolf since.
