Never had a ‘little black book’ much less for my doctors—even now I only have two—a ‘GP’ and cardiologist and it is a 2 and a half hour drive between them.
Beyond my routine check-ups, I have to be pretty sick and know I won’t get better without going, before I’ll go to the doctor. $200+ for a five minute visit and a prescription for a Tier 3 or higher medication.
I don’t trust doctors anymore. It’s like they quit taking the hypocritic oath. Instead they pledge themselves to “whomever the insurance provider is!” And the insurance people have suddenly become GOD…they know what’s better for you than the doctor does! What a load of BS!!

I’ve heard that one sign you’re getting old is that many of the names in your “little black book” have the title “MD” after them. ;D

No ‘tough guy’ cures for me. If I have a big problem, we go to the UC unit. Twice in 14 years.

My guess as to why women live longer than men. Men wait too long to visit the doc.

I try to avoid them if possible. The last one in August was horrid.

That’s when you tell him that you’re going for ice cream. Until it’s too late.
