I’d try the boot first (for the jack, not the .. other matter).

Oh boy, in a ditch or behind a tree is bad enough in good weather but snowing! in N Dakota! Well, at least less traffic and worse sight conditions.

The perils of living in rural America. I travel with a tool kit that has a little compressor that plugs into electrical port, (they don’t have lighters anymore). It takes awhile to fill the tire, but it works good.

Our car slid off the road in slushy snow. We were on our way to a restaurant where my first stop was going to be the bathroom. We were fine, but they took us to the hospital just to get checked out. The nurse wanted me to pee in a cup….. I told her I might need two cups!!

We would have 3 hour drives from construction sites back to the office. I learned to pee before leaving the construction site and again at the gas station. because if you admitted you had to pee, everyone else in the car would be telling jokes and making you laugh, making it harder not to pee. Engineers have really twisted sensed of humor.

When I was in high school I was riding with a friend who’d just gotten his driver’s license. I didn’t have one yet. The car got a flat. I ended up changing the tire because I’d seen adults do it and he hadn’t.

Ironically (for me), I had a flat tire yesterday. Almost new tire too. Fortunately, I got it repaired today for free.

Some years ago, we had a flat in a rare Texas. ice storm. Some burly angels in a big pickup swooped in with all the right tools and had the spare on it no time. Would not take payment and promptly disappeared.

What happens in Arnegard… stays in Northwest North Dakota. The news of your ‘passing through’ will be noted in maybe six to ten small town newspapers. Now the efficiency of the coffee klatch rumor mills. Well, Broadcasting comes to mind.

Put it in a safe place and it just vanishes into thin air right before your eyes, no matter the size. ◑﹏◐
