The cartoon is pretty dated. Rotary phone and an ashtray at the desk puts it in the 1980s at the latest. Which brings up the question, what happens to the spirit when the last office goes paperless and no longer uses paperclips or erasers? Does the spirit move on to toner? Was there a spirit of floppy discs?
