That’s pretty good for six months old! Thirty seconds was a small eternity for my dog. But he did it. I would walk about 100 feet away and then give him the “free” command. He would shoot out to me like a rocket. I miss him.
I found that hard to do as a human kid at six years old. Mom’s favorite line “We spend the first years teaching them to walk and talk. And even longer teaching them to sit down and shut up.”

My old dog can lie down, and stay for hours on end.

Obviously that’s his mother commenting!

That’s not worthy of a round-of-apaws.

Yeah, I used to think I was a genius because I never got my socks on the wrong feet. :)
(Oh I was a genius but that wasn’t the reason.)

If he can do that without moving at all, would that make him a “stable genius”?

I have to show this to the Silky One. She is 16 years and can’t (won’t?) do that.

My almost 2 year old toddler can’t even do that. I’m lucky if he stops long enough for me to catch my breath!
