I remember watching the countdown. Then, nothing happened except the little clock down in the R/H corner read 12:00:00. Then 12:00:01 and that was it. What a joke it was on all. SMH.
I wasn’t overly worried. I didn’t even stay up to what did or didn’t happen. I did fill the bathtub and a bunch of empty bottles with water , though. You know….just in case.
Why does everyone think the Y2K problem was a hoax? It was a real problem, and it was fixed in advance on nearly every computer on the planet. A very real crisis was averted.

The computer problem with year 2000 had it’s roots before Microsoft left the garage (or where ever it was born).
