I spent a few evenings at Matt Kane’s Irish Pub in Washington DC a number of years back.
They actually Did open at 7:00 AM on St Patrick’s Day. And, had customers waiting in line. Yeah, I didn’t believe it. So I drove by on the way to work and, sure enough, the Bartender was telling the truth.

At that time it’s cab drivers getting off work & people coming back for their car keys & one for the road.

This year, it’s on Sunday so unemployed just means you don’t go to work hungover.

They were at work yesterday? Seems the strips are out of order, or it just could be that they wanted to put today out for Irish Day.

Or St. Patrick’s Day Eve has become such a big drinking night that they are still hung over.
