When pain meds kick in for me, I do not hallucinate. I just stop feeling pain and can go on living. Now of course, I am not on painkillers now, but morphine was amazingly calming to me after I was hit on my motorcycle by a Californian thinking he needed the lane more than I did. He is in the state pen now for hit and run and attempted vehicular homocide.

Huh. I had “minor” surgery recently, and no-one looked like a giant chicken when I woke up. I got gypped! I want better drugs!
