Was this actually a strip that ran in 1984 or is this just Aaron making comments on what is now an old, but was then current topic about how little had changed between the time the father was in Gov. Service and the time the son was in charge of our Gov.?
Thanks

The year the strip ran is actually between panels 3 and 4. The year was 2004. This is true of all comics that I know of that are printed in the paper.
