I’d initially thought “digamos” meant “we understand”

I’d be happy to receive a letter from my Mom, much less from either of my Grandmothers. Unfortunately my Mom fell asleep eleven years ago. And both my Grandmothers have been asleep for decades.

Makes you wonder. If you REALLY can’t read, how would you know the letter is from your grandmother?

And why would you think she is writing just about her health?

She could just have been writing that she just won 10 million dollars in the Irish Sweepstakes! (Or in the Publisher’s Clearing House.)

How would you know, if Grandma doesn’t have a phone and only can write letters? See, kids, it pays to learn how to read!

Why don’t you just have someone read it to you?

And I doubt any of you want to wear a red hood and have to go to visit her.

Well, Sally, maybe not just for the writing, but that walk to the mailbox could be quite gruelling.

My biggest problem with cursive is that if I have to print something I start in print but before I know it I’m writing in cursive …… ;)

It’s so that people can get robbed of their money when they sign those ten page contracts that nobody reads. So it pays to know how to read.
