If the congress actually DID ITS JOB, the courts could be ruling about details. But “do the work of the people” seems to be the furthest thing from the minds and hearts of the Thuglicans. As far as the courts go, I see no reason to suppose that the packed “Trump court” will ever apply the law when their partisan agenda calls for something else.
I was very surprised SCOTUS would allow any state the power to create laws and take actions in this area that’s been such a clean & hard function of the federal government, BUT the current batch seems to be REALLY interested in giving the STATES power.
