I’m looking to retire in roughly 5 years. My wife will be another 7 years after that, so I’m thinking about what I want to do. Looking at charities to volunteer or getting a personal trainer cert. Maybe both. My wife might be able to be 100% remote so looking at campers with a good workspace for her. Then spend first summer hiking the Appalachian Trail and she can drop me off in the morning and pick me up at the next area at the end of the day.

When you retire you wonder how you ever found the time for ‘work’.

I retired in 2004 at 52. Finishing up on my third and last house upgrade.

I read through the old Betty’s a while back… been a while since she has talked about work if I remember. Retired is awsome.
