The snow is no longer hard and icy. Instead, one might call it refreshingly damp. As for her being a flake, the need to preserve my very survival, blocks any thought of making an affirmative response.

I really enjoyed Doonesbury today. It was fun to see the comments about comics for a change. And it made me nostalgic. When you were a kid Doc, did you ever see the comics in the New York Daily news?

My local newspaper used to put Doonesbury on the editorial page as well. As I explain on Doonesbury, the New York Daily news used to have page upon page upon page of cartoons on Sunday.

No Cleo, still no tree! But I try for a Fraser. The needles are soft, I like the coloring and they hold their needles well. It stays up thru New Years so I guess 3 weeks is einough. Maybe today, tmr. FOR SURE!!

Dry, I remember one year we had a Frazer. After New Years we took it down. It was still looking good so we just propped it up against the house figuring that we would toss it when it started looking bad. It stood propped against the house for months, not even turning brown. It was amazing and they are such pretty trees.

Yes Cleo, that is a Fraser. Another nice one is an Eshelman Fir, rare in our tree lots, but I got one one year, and it even beat a Fraser! For looks, shape, keeping quality, etc.

MoPAr freezing rain here, someone ran into a telephone pole this morning, couldn’t get stopped. Broke his taillight. That answered my question about the roads being icy!*

Cleo & Doc I really envy you for having access to papers with more than a skimpy [at best] page of comics. That’s the part I like the best.

Dry good luck with getting your tree. I remember when I was a youngster [many moons ago] my mother used to decorate the whole living room. It used to make the room feel so warm and cozy. Even after they sold the farm and moved to town, everyone used to gather at their house for Christmas. Now that they’re both gone I guess we won’t be doing that anymore. Their house will be sold in the estate in the spring but right now my youngest sister is still living there. Well enough of that. If I start down that road I’ll just make myself and everyone else really depressed. I seem to be an expert at depressing myself sometimes.

Doc I hope *Wildcheetah * enjoyed her birthday. I’m sure you did your part to add to her pleasure. [snicker] By the way, can I send you some cold? We don’t have much snow, not like some parts of Canada, but this deep freeze doesn’t seem to want to leave.

Flipping between the games is sweet, Celecca! I’m thinking of setting up the basement with multiple TV’s!

Having a basement is an important part of that, but I understand!

Football on TV, multiple screens, and cocoa

Baseball in person or on radio (or TV muted and radio playing), night times, with cold beer

Rugby - in person, staring in amazement at scrum, and just enjoying those striped shirts.

Home team for me is the Panthers, but I’m more interested in the Pats today as the Panthers break my heart, and want to see if Brady is steady after becoming daddy. Usually am Bengals fan, but I like Favre. Torn between four sports teams, feeling like a fool….

Tough one for me too, Celecca, I get to watch the Lions and Ravens. I thought I was over the Lions, but I like the direction (finally) that they are headed in, and the no one is playing as sloppy as the Ravens, and that is tough to watch.

It’s raining here today as well. Probably will continue to rain the rest of the day.

I have had ‘UNKNOWN CALLER’ calling about every hour since yesterday morning. No message is left. I even answered a couple of times, asking “Who is this!!” but no answer, just dead air. Getting really annoying I tell you what.

Anyway…I’m not sure how long I’ll be on this time. Anyway about 6pm EST there will be baked chicken, baked potatoes and beets brought to the kitchen. Peanutbutter cookies for dessert.

Off to finish my toon tour, try to get a few boxes unpacked and figure out how much $$ I have to allocate to my bills. Joy to the World.

okay all i am home and i am here just long enough to say hi and bye. i have alot of work to do. got little sleep last night and my room is a mess a 3 year old sharing a room with you can make it crazy. love to the tribe. ill bbl sometime we were up till about 2:30am woke up at 9:30 the time we need to walk out the door for church at the latest. lol yea we left here at 10 when church starts got there about 10:16 but it seemed longer then that, much longer. but we made it thats all the matters. even caught a little of the praise and worship. so we did good. ana sang so good for the practice in the back. i was so proud of her. oh my baby girl is growing up (remember she is not mine i just call her my baby girl bc shes my favorite cousin ever lol ) she is doing so great. the older kids dont seem to know the words or there parts but it will all work out. well i best get going bc if i dont i wont go and then ill be in trouble again. i am off till 8:30am tomorrow and ill have her till about 6 or 7 then off till 8:30 again lol peace and love all

What a day! Craziness Tabby! It is nice to see, the little ones get older, but it makes you feel old too, I’m sure some of the tribe that actually have kids could relate.

Do proud aunties count? I know I didn’t give birth to them, but I love my girls and the boy so much that I can’t imagine how much it would hurt to have something happen to them. I have gone to their homes when they are sick to give thier parents a break, I have made costumes, attended concerts, done arts and crafts, encouraged and supported them in school, taken them on trips.

Dry till a week before i go back to school in jan.

Last time me and the kids tried toasting marshmallows over the stove, the marshmallows caught on fire, some dripped on the burner and well, thank goodness there was a pan lid nearby to put out the flames! That was a few years ago!
