This one hits too close to home. Last November in a small village near me, a young man whom I know personally, tried to save a dog that was hit in the road. Unfortunately, he also got hit in the process and has severe brain injuries. The jury is still out to whether or not he’ll ever recover to any sort of normal life. He’s a young man with a wife and two children. It’s a real tragedy.

I stupidly saved 2 bear cubs running around on a highway while I was pregnant. I got them off into the woods, stayed and watched to make sure they stayed off. They must have found mama. I’m glad I didn’t

I got chase by a bear in Yosemite in 1954. I tried to get a close up with the family Kodak Brownie. Don’t approach the bears! My adrenaline saved me. I got a photo with a tiny brown creature just before it charged. Ansel Adams was doing some of his best work then.

There’s so many ways this can go wrong, including the cat not taking a liking to being saved.
