From Not Always Right: Getting Touchy About The ‘No Touchy’
I am working at Home Depot. A customer has been trying to flirt with me but takes it too far by reaching out to move my patches away from my name on my apron.
Me: Slapping his hand away. “You never touch someone without permission and especially unprompted!”
He tries to offer excuses, but no apology.
Me: “I’m not interested in hearing your excuses.”
Customer: “Fine! I’m gonna shop at Lowes from now on!”
Me: “Head put of our parking lot, take a right, and go about two miles up the road and see if they take your s*** any better than I did.”
I’ve seen this countless times. A friend told me that when he was with his girlfriend he thought “There has to be someone better for me.” but when apart it was “Gee, I really miss her.” I told him to go with his first thought. She was beautiful but as bright as a turnip (with apologizes to all the turnips out there). They married and it lasted about 3 years.
Another problem is that many abusers tend to be very charming to everyone, such that those on the outside will think “What’s wrong with her, he’s such a good guy!”.

When he sang “♪ let me take you on a magic carpet ride ♫” she didn’t realize that he wanted her to be the carpet.

Never talk crap about someone’s ex (or soon to be ex) until you are positive there is no chance of them getting back together

“You deserve what you get”? Hhmm, not sure about that. Not so easy to break free of emotions.
