You are so cute, Buckles! How nice to come home to a pet who’s been waiting for you. I’ve had only cats and they don’t meet you at the door like that. But they have other ways of letting you know they’re glad you’re home.
I love coming home to find my nearly deaf dog barely having awakened. My last dog also went deaf as she aged and I once was able to sit down and read a book for two hours before she woke up and was very happy and surprised to see me. It was also nice to see how relaxed she was being home alone.
