All the hand-held baskets at our store have been purloined.

“Sorry, we’re closed.”

“But your sign says you’re open 24 hours.”

“Yeah, but not all in a row.”

Golly, it seems like they opened just yesterday, and now they’re gone.

The new way to do business in San Francisco

Mel use to run a diner but got sick of that after 9 years.

Mel always said he’d make it one day.

This explains the vast number of restaurants in our small town. Gone when the first one year lease is up.

Must be in California with the new minimum wage.
