As Kliban pointed out, cats see things we don’t see. Terry Pratchett enumerated some of the things they see, e. g. Death, and some supernatural beings. Grizzy is not the brightest cat ever though.
I have seen the term cobbywobbles, the things cats and dogs stare at but humans cannot see.
