The egg came first! Chickens are birds; birds are descendants of dinosaurs; dinosaurs laid eggs millions of years before their descendants’ (i.e., chickens) evolved, therefore the egg came first.
I’m glad it’s finally settled.
Why didn’t the egg roll down the slope?
Q: Why did the chicken cross the road? A: She just laid an egg and wanted to show that she, the chicken, came (across) first.
The rooster came first, then the chicken laid the egg.
That would be “chicken came in first” in English rather than “newspeak”.
