Did Adam ever see the Aesop fable about the goose that laid the golden eggs?

A long, long time ago, it was not uncommon for people to stash extra cash in their sock drawer in rolled up socks.

“Those are the game socks worn by Michael Jordan and the rest of the Chicago Bulls in their first championship win! They are worth a fortune!”

“Oh…wait. Nevermind. Just common Fruit-of-the Loom”.

Did they ever look to see if there was anything IN the socks…like maybe a hundred dollar bill in each?

Do they even make sock puppets anymore?

Okay Adam go weep for 20 minutes!

Wonder what the antique roadshow guys would appraise them at? Or is the trunk we’re missing socks go to hide?

I still say there may be something in those old socks.

I canoe regularly along a canal the British army built in Canada about 200 years ago; and my trunk treasure fantasy is spotting a glint in the mud from a brass army payroll box filled with gold sovereigns.
