Back when I was growing up we would just spit on each other.
Grew up in a Chicago Neighborhood. When summer came along one of the neighbors would open a fire hydrant. Made a great “sprinkler”!
And then there were the water pistols……

Wow Sammy, you would be amazed what we could do with a stick then when I was a kid. A stick could be a gun, a cane, a sword or lance, a magic wand, a hiking stick, a bow, the base for a sling shot, just to name a few.
Good times.
