She must have black thumbs.

My wife use to work in a green house and learned a lot about plants and such, but when she would bring home a plant it would die with a week!!!

I also have a black thumb.

Black pointer finger from poking the hole to plant the seeds. Gardening gloves with printed instructions? Depth gauge?

It’s the thought that counts??

Watch the thumbs slowly turn black.

I have the same affliction, my plastic plants died.

I have luck with some plants and not others.

When we first bought our house husband would be busy in the backyard planting vegetables. However he worked at a special ed school and they closed for August for vacation – so the vegetables tended to come in while we were away.

For many years his dad who would be stopping by to check on the house and pick up our mail would help himself to whatever was ripe (payment for stopping by) but then his dad died. We would come from our trip and all would have rotted. So he longer plants.
