The worst part of a power outage is the UPS. It beeps LOUDLY to let us know the power is out and the only way to stop it is to shut it off, rendering it useless. Mostly it’s there to bridge short transients.
I have a small generator that’s big enough to keep the refrigerator, attic fan, and internet going. You need a couple of good 12ga extension cords, too.
