So ‘Veteran’ lists a bunch of really dumb things that GOP / trumpholes say, and ‘ari-stupid’ immediately follows it with another really dumb GOP / trumphole statement….except ari is serious.
Seems like we used to hear about severe tornado damage a few times a year. Now it’s incessant, every day, year-round. There is no “season” anymore. Add in 6-7-8 100 year floods in the past 5 years, wildfires that never seem to stop, coastal flooding regularly where it used to be a freak event, burning perma-frost, and on and on and on. Yeah, it’s real. And if we hadn’t wasted 30 years convincing the nay-sayers it is, maybe we could have done something about it before it came to this. To put a point on it, saw a big, honkin diesel dual wheel truck, left idling and belching black exhaust and stinking like heck, the other day with “My diesel cancels your Prius” painted on the fender. Ignorant, and proud of it. BTW, before someone says it, I have no issue with those who NEED them having the power necessary to do the work. This fool, however, didn’t. Didn’t maintain the thing to run as best it could and reveled in thumbing his obviously defective nose at “them”. Liberals, I assume, he thought. Remember when being efficient and not wasting time, resources, money, was a conservative value?
The future of our country[our children]know in their hearts that older adults[including their parents]will do nothing to mitigate the reality that is climate change.
Kids, what that means is that you should register to vote as soon as you are 18, look at and vote for the people who are trying to stop or at least slow down global warming. Which would be those running as Democrats. Because everyone running as a Republican is denying that Global Climate Change is real. That temperatures that continue to break records around the world are “normal”. The world you will be stuck with will be far worse that what you see now if every effort to mitigate the global rise in temperatures is blocked by Republicans. When trump tells the mega oil companies “Give me a Billion Dollars and I will reverse everything that Biden and the Democrats passed to try and slow global warming”.
The fact that Republicans are ignoring reality will not stop or even slow down Global Climate Change, if they are elected and manage to reverse everything the Biden Administration accomplished, temps will rise a bit faster, and continue to break records. Increasing droughts will cause more wildfires. Hurricanes will get stronger[Climate Scientists have proposed adding a category 6 to designate hurricanes with wind speeds over 192 mph] as ocean temps get hotter. Wars will be fought over food and water. All this will happen sooner if Global Climate Change denier trump and his true believers in Congress get the majority. Because they don’t care about the world their kids and grandkids will have to live in. As long as they have power today, they don’t care about the future
The solid Red southern states, from Texas to Florida, are getting hammered by climate change. Floods, devastating tornados, crippling heat, hurricanes, and then drought. It is almost like a mythical supreme being is taking delight in punishing those who claim virtue, but live lives to the contrary.
If.. the population levels were back to what they were in 1491 and communication was restricted to smoke signals.. this level of tornadoes/ hurricanes/ climate change would hardly be noticed.
The fact that Trump asked for $1 billion for his campaign from the oil companies isn’t a bigger story is beyond my comprehension. For all of the left-leaning folks, why would you withhold your vote from Biden knowing the havoc Trump would do to environmental protections?
trump had his ‘meeting’ with the fossil fuel robber barons a few days ago. Promised he would scrap all the climate laws for $1B. He doesn’t give a hoot even for his own grandchildren.
