I love the Petey transition from panel 2 to panel 3.

Ah the eye rings thing made it back.

You’re surrounded by girls now, Petey. Run for your life!!

That could work. She chatters incessantly, repeats embarrassing things she hears, and demand crackers.

Viola could pull that off!

“If I had a sister like her, I’d wear her on my shoulder like a parrot to amaze people” is one of my favorite lines in the history of this strip. It sums up Viola so nicely.

(My very favorite by a wide margin is “You can’t tie down a banjo man!” Possibly followed by “Remember, creativity plus neatness equals art.”)

And so the Goth movement was started.

That spread of Petey between panels and the unframed beginning is an awesome layout!

I smell a business opportunity, Petey. Ask her how much she’ll pay to take Alice off your hands.
