I have never known a person who excited about taking out the trash. I do admit that sometimes the crisp air, clear sky and full moon do grab my attention for a short moment.
First it was Maeve and Benoit “not dates but professional courtesy”.Then Sophie and Lucas “not dates but meetings and walks”.Now Rose and Jimbo “not date but communing with the cosmos and enjoying the air”.
And THAT is the moon that I see once a month when I do my Garbage Moment. Circa 5: AM. Just over the eastern horizon. The full or waning gibbous moon is in the western sky a little earlier in the month.
I understand the need for checking out those who are delivering to the recycler. You don’t want those fro out of town or county using your recycling and there have to be rules as to what can recycle. today the recycler (once every two weeks) picked up and was complaining about a restaurant that puts everything in the recycling can – garbage and recycle things. He said that at the end of today’s haul, he has to wash the truck because of the liquid food added to the can.

A waning crescent moon rises well past midnight. Is this a garbage ritual before pickup a few hours later?

Must be in Colorado or someplace where you can stargaze.

Garbage moments only last so long. Then there’s stuff to be done.

The air might be nice, but sampling it from the trash can location seems odd.

Jimbo achieves oneness with the Universe by making a mundane chore mystical.
