Not thinking, but faith. And feelings.

I have respect for people of faith as long as they include a dash of pragmatism and remove a bunch of hypocrisy. Both my maternal grandmothers and my mom were (is a) strong wome(a)n and wome(a)n of faith. None of them had (has-Mom’s still alive) an issue with their questioning descendants.

^ NOT all Christians! Plus, the argument can be made that sincere followers of Christ do NOT support the lying racist!

Women will be 3rd class citizens under the American Taliban. No birth control, no abortions even if the non-viable fetus will kill you, the end of no-fault divorce trapping women with abusers, and they’ll strip you of all the rights you’ve gotten since the pill so no credit cards for you without your husband’s permission or protections for sexual harassment in the work place. They’re going to put you back into the kitchen barefoot and pregnant. That’s their goal. And that’s only if you’re white. If you’re not white or straight, well, enjoy your one-way trip to camp. Any woman who votes Republican is an idiot. They’ve told you what is coming. Hell, they’re showing you what is coming.

They aren’t. The ones who support him, no matter what their label, tend to do so based on emotion rather than knowledge-based rational thought. There are some supporters who are different, who understand what he is and isn’t and don’t care because they Have thought through what he and his followers can do for them if they play him. Some are in this country, several are inimical or at best opportunistic foreign leaders. Those are the really scary ones.
