Sad. My father was a minister one day he was giving a member a ride. He asked my Dad why does he put something in the offering plate? My father replied: “I wouldn’t expect someone to do something I wouldn’t do myself.”
In the last church I pastored, I found the big givers had the smallest income. Those that were truly rich, hardly gave at all. And I’m not talking about percent of income, either.
