My wife worked 40 years for 4 different corporations, CO Airlines, CCS (a spinoff), EDS, and HP. Same job (mostly, with promotions) and same office. Got 3 different retirement plans.
To our Mr. Capp, w-o-r-k is a ….. four-letter word!!!

You’re talking to a guy on the other end of the spectrum.
“Did you bring me any cake?”
Shabbat shalom, fellow Cappers. And today is my birthday—so please be nice, OK?
I was given a comic balloon to take home on the train when I retired, Also chocolate cake.
Andy can’t remember hard work for anything.
Guess that’s socks Andy’s wearing on the Chesterfield and not Boots.
Of course he can. He has been working hard st staying on the dole all his life.
Poor Flo. Only for the sake of continuity has she kept the layabout lout.
Now that’s the truth!
Smashing? In what way?
This year is 20 for me
♫ Happy birthday ♪ to you! ♫
Hard work is science fiction to Andy that he can’t ever imagine.
No, he can’t imagine it.
Andy’s wife knows him too well……
New route for the strip: Flo retires and has to put up with Andy, ALL day! EVERY day!!
Gives him pause to reflect on all that he’s accomplished.
Working 40 years for the same company is almost unheard of in this day and age of corporate takeovers, redundancy, and peripatetic freelancers.
She should get a smashing party for all the years she has stayed with Andy!
Andy has 40+ years of drinking, napping, scrounging etc. The easy life.

Andy’s 40 year record of supine continuum goes sadly unappreciated.
