NATIONAL CHERRY TART DAY. I don’t have any cherry tarts and no cherries to make cherry tarts with.

NATIONAL APPLE STRUDEL DAY. Same deal. No apple strudel and no apples to make it with.

NATIONAL MASCOT DAY

I have (had) a bag of sweet cherries I’ve been munching on for a few days. Yum. But it’s been a long time since I’ve been to a ‘real’ A&W for some root beer – the only place I’ll buy it.

Off to camp among the sequoias and oaks on the west side of the Sierra tonight, shopping in Carson City tomorrow, then I can seriously look to adopt another dog. There is a high kill county shelter about 3 hours away and I am determined to save a life there, they always seem to have an abundance of shepherds.
