I had a tough time making my own ringtone several years ago. Most “unique” ones had to be purchased back then. It’s Morse code with CQ and my call sign. Three phones later I still have it.
I used “The Imperial March” for a while. Then several people for whom that ringtone was used for died. I now use the Red Phone tone from Our Man Flint.
Same thing goes for songs that commercials use as I think many of the songs probably made more money selling their rights to use those songs in those than they made when the song when it was released.
