If a bear or a porcupine could do the things necessary to either make a video OR post it on YouTube, I for one would give it a view.

Lie to the ranger about how famous he will be and talk him into running the camera.

Being profitable on YouTube requires too much time being spent on editing and uploading.

YouTube might be a thing for lots of viewers. Rarely even think of it unless something needs fixing. But there are problem with that, too.

I have to search a long time for any video that is clear [a fixed position camera helps] – is well lighted [headband lights don’t do it] – with product held steady [handheld rarely works] – instructions in logical order But first you . . . doesn’t cut it] – in clear language [the element most often flubbed] 8 out of 10 fail one or more of those details.

But then I’m a former display ad exec for a major newspaper, writer, and retired teacher and those characteristics were the foundation for making good ‘sales’ in each category.

thanks to dash cams, viewer submissions, and editors who don’t edit much, we regularly have bears, deer, and other wildlife appearing in local “news” segments… ☺
