Love pig skins (Pork Rinds). We used to fry pig skins in big black wash pots on the farm when we killed and butchered hogs in November and saved the grease (lard) for cookingall year long. Skins saved in 3 gallon cans with lids. We ate them and also “grind” them in Sausage Mill for making Corn Pone and added to Cornbread. Not thin like todays Pork Rinds. Had some fat left on skin. Good eating. Could slice up some Okra and add to Corn Pone and to Cornbread also. Un Huh Good.
When you realize what it costs nowadays for fish & chips, burgers, or kabobs, that’s probably all Andy can afford, and still have a few £’s left to pay for the beer
A classic I can’t post so I paraphrase: Andy and Flo are out in a restaurant for some semi-fine dining. Andy remarks “Remember when we were courting, Pet, and we’d hold hands under the table?” And he proceeds to do so. Flo is annoyed: “Yes, but yer didn’t slip me the flamin’ BILL!”

American = Potato chips and pork rinds. Not a glamourous meal, nor a nutritious one.

A meal Homer Simpson would heartily approve of.
