Books provide more detail.
I’m never quite sure what’s better, to read the book before the movie or after it.
The book is usually better, since you don’t need all those special effects.
I’ve done that many times. The movie or TV show brought my interest to know more about the story told. Some led to reading entire series of books.
We have friends who watch Brit Box. We read the Brit Box books. No TV in house this century.
That’d be a first.
