Went to a restaurant yesterday, and the “suggested tip” line at the bottom of the bill was for 20%, 25%, and 30%! This is WAY out of control. I did not, by the way, give any of those amounts. Though I did tip, I much prefer a system in which there are no tips, and employees are paid a living wage without the need for tips.
My daughter and I have a running argument over cats (which I have) and dogs (which she has). Now I can tell her that cats are preferable to dogs because they don’t do anything to EARN a tip.
