When integrated circuit simulation first began I had to run the simulation program in the computer room on a PDP-11 computer. The PDP-11 ran all the company computing tasks. One day, while I waited for my program to start, a job was running printing all the executives and board members salaries, plus bonuses and stock options. I began to watch it print and the operator told me I wasn’t supposed to see it. I answered “Probably not” Then we both watched it all print out………
